The internet is endless and keeps on evolving. It affects everyone on this planet whether or not people are aware of it. In this session we looked at some views that sum up the internet very well, they were:
- Just a tool
- Big but become dull
- Big but bad
- Big and getting bigger fast
- Big, good could become bad
- Implications
These views showed what the internet how the internet is helpful or useless. With anything, there will always be good and bad points and the internet has many. I have already personally experiences some of them mixed points such as identity on a social network. Photos of me were used by someone else and passed them off as themselves. However, I have experienced positive experiences, meeting new people and getting my work out to people.
I feel there are mixture of both points from the internet and occasionally one over takes another. There is clearly room for more improvement to protect jobs, safety etc. But as quickly as internet has grown, i'm certain there will be improvements very soon.
